Smartphones have revolutionized the cell phone industry; they have become much more than just mobile phones and are rapidly replacing other hand-held gadgets such as tablets. However one major problem with smartphones is their battery life that drains a bit too quickly. The interesting fact is that no matter which brand you buy, Apple, Samsung or HTC etc. you will face this battery life issue – all the leading names are still struggling to provide a solution to this issue. But it seems one tech company may have the answer to this problem and it is none other than Lenovo.
It is reported that the company is busy working on its new smartphone that will mainly be targeted at business class consumers. The handset currently has a codename P70t and is in its development phased. However like all other smartphones rumors and leaked information about the handset have already hit the market, which suggest that P70t will have a much longer battery life as compared to all other smartphones available in the market today – we are talking about record breaking battery life here. It is rumored that the new Lenovo smartphone may offer battery life that will last for 46 days … that is right days not hours. That is not all, it is believed that the smartphone will have a removable battery, which means the user can keep a spare and go on for 92 days without plugging the phone in for recharging.
If this rumor turned out to be true than this phone could very well be the game changer and take Lenovo brand to new heights. It will also give its rivals Apple and Samsung something serious to think about.
According to various sources P70t will feature a strong 4000mAh battery; whereas Apple’s iPhone 6 currently offer an 1810mAh battery – the difference between the two is huge. A powerful battery is not the only thing that the smartphone will offer; the company will also equip its P70t with different features that will help save power and battery life; these features may include the facility to switch off apps in the background when the phone’s screen gets locked.
According to more rumors, P70t will be available in two colors, white and black; it will also be in line with the tradition of large screened smartphones and is likely to offer a 120p 5 inch display. Other measurements of P70t are rumored to be 42mm x 71.8mm with a total weight of 149 g. Other features are likely to include LTE quard-core processor alongwith a RAM of 1GB and an 8GB storage space.
This is not the first time that Lenovo is offering a 4000mAh battery in its smartphone; therefore it would be too early to become excited about the new rumored and unbelievable 46 day battery life for P70t. It seems the company has given a theoretical figure based on the battery-saving technology and the battery size it will use in its new phone. However, as mentioned before, if Lenovo did manage to come up with a phone that offers 46 days battery time then the market must be ready for some fierce competition by other smartphone brands.
