- A fund regulated under the provisions of the Investment Company Act of 1940 and listed on foreign and US exchanges. These are closed ended and a fixed number of shares are traded in secondary markets. Market price may be higher than NAV per share, thus the unit sells at a premium. It may be available at a discount when the price is lower than NAV per share. Such funds may be specialized in nature, with focus on specific industries, countries, etc.
