Expiration Cycle
The dates on which a specific security’s options expire. Any option is placed in one cycle of the following: January cycle, February cycle, or March cycle. At a given time, an option has contracts with 4 outstanding expiration dates with 2 of these falling in far-term months and the other 2 in near-term months.
